Help with Lens

Email dfernandes@xqinstitute.org for a bug report or help using the extension. Include the extension version and what happened. Please omit private documents, student information, and API keys.

Getting started

1. Install XQ Lens. No account or invite code is required.
2. Open a curriculum webpage or PDF, open Lens, and choose Start.
3. In Extract, allow access if prompted, then review the text or upload your own PDF.
4. Choose Start scan. In Scan, review the competency connections and their evidence.

Common questions

Scan limit reached? Limits keep the shared pilot available. Try again after the stated interval or contact support.

PDF text missing? Use a text PDF under 15 MB and 100 pages. Image-only PDFs need text recognition first. Scan text is limited to 40,000 characters.

Evidence does not highlight? The source may have changed, the quote may be ambiguous, or the viewer may not support it. Lens can show the quote in its scanned-text preview.

Can I scan Google Docs? Support is experimental and depends on your browser permissions and document access. Public webpages and text PDFs are the verified pilot scope.
